About Dr. Mahmut Dogan’s Clinic
Op. Dr. Mahmut Doğan is a general surgeon with his own clinic in Fulya, Istanbul, focused mainly on surgical and non-surgical obesity treatment. He studied medicine at Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine and completed his general surgery residency at Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk Training and Research Hospital (2008–2013). After compulsory service at Ağrı State Hospital he returned to Istanbul in 2013. During his training he worked with experienced obesity surgeons and was part of one of the first teams in Turkey to use the da Vinci robotic surgical system, taking part in nearly 100 robotic operations.
Besides bariatric surgery, he offers non-surgical options such as gastric botulinum toxin and gastric balloon, diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, haemorrhoid treatment (laser, closed surgery and band ligation), thyroid surgery and hernia surgery. He speaks English and German.
The clinic team includes a nutrition specialist, a patient experience manager, a hospital nurse, an international patient coordinator and case managers. Dr. Doğan is a member of the Turkish Medical Association, the Turkish Surgical Association, the Turkish Obesity Surgery Society (TOSS), IFSO and the Turkish Association of Trauma and Emergency Surgery.
