About Tanfer Clinic
Tanfer Klinik is a private dental clinic on Rumeli Caddesi in Nişantaşı, Istanbul. Dr. Nihat Tanfer, a specialist in oral, dental and maxillofacial surgery, founded it in 1981. The clinic has placed dental implants since 1985 and has offered aesthetic porcelain and zirconia crowns and laminate veneers since 1990.
In 2012 Dr. Tanfer performed the “Box Technique”, which the clinic describes as a first in Turkey. It is a jaw bone regeneration (osteobioregeneration) procedure for patients whose jaw bone has resorbed too far for dentures. Six to eight months after the operation, implants and prosthetic teeth can be placed on the new bone. According to the clinic, Dr. Tanfer also designed implants for use in Box Technique operations and in cases with too little bone.
The clinic is on three floors, with seven dental units, five dentists and seven assistants. Treatments on its website include implants, aesthetic dentistry, paediatric dentistry and care for patients with dental anxiety. The clinic says its dentists and staff can serve patients in many languages.
