About Transmed Clinic
Transmed Hair and Aesthetic Surgery Medical Center is a private medical centre in Istanbul, now located in the Quasar building on Büyükdere Caddesi in Mecidiyeköy. Dr. Melike Külahçı founded it in Levent in February 1994 as an international medical centre for hair restoration and aesthetic surgery, and she remains its medical director.
Dr. Külahçı became a member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) in 1995. According to the clinic, she has served on the board of the European Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ESHRS) and as an ISHRS Board Governor. The clinic’s timeline records follicular unit transplantation from 1994, mini-micro grafting from 1995–1996, the start of liposhaping and cosmetic surgery in 1998, and hosting of the 3rd annual ESHRS meeting in Istanbul in 2000.
Transmed performs hair transplantation using the FUE method for men and women, with consultations covering both hair-loss treatments and transplant planning, and also offers aesthetic surgery. Its medical team includes a general surgeon and two plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgeons alongside Dr. Külahçı. The clinic says it works to Ministry of Health standards and provides post-treatment care and follow-up.
