Who Scores

Small team, published names, stated conflicts. This page says who does what, who can overrule whom, how we are paid, and what to do if you think we have something wrong.

The team

Medical editor

Dr. Vitalina Ilyasli, M.D., Medical Oncology. She carries out verification, applies the CG+ framework to every clinic, and reviews all clinical claims on this site. She holds reject authority: a clinic she declines is not listed, and that decision is not overridden by anyone, including the publisher.

What she reviews: the general medical information published on this site, the CG+ score applied to each clinic, and the verification status of each recorded fact.

What she explicitly does not review: the individual clinics, doctors and facilities listed here. One reviewer cannot vouch for the clinical quality of hundreds of individual providers, and claiming otherwise would mislead exactly the person this site exists to help. The medical review byline on each listing carries this scope limit, and it is never dropped or softened.

Editorial research

Two part-time editors identify candidate clinics, collect and record the evidence against each field, and draft the written profiles. They do not score, and they do not set verification statuses.

Publisher

Omer Faruk Ilyasli, Altay Health Ltd. Decides what the site covers, signs off publication, and handles provider relationships and commercial arrangements. Cannot raise a score, cannot grant a verification status, and cannot overrule a rejection by the medical editor.

Ownership and how we are paid

ClinicGuide Turkey is published by Altay Health Ltd. Altay Health also publishes other medical travel directories, and takes listing fees from providers, including providers listed on this site.

We do not claim editorial independence. A small operation has no structural firewall to point at, and an independence claim we could not back is the easiest thing in the world to puncture. What we claim instead is disclosure: you can see who owns this, how the money arrives, and precisely what it does not buy.

What it does not buy, in these words: payment never influences a score, a position within editorially ordered results, a verification status, or the removal of an unflattering but accurate fact. Advertisers must hold Fully verified status on criteria identical to non-advertisers. Paid placement is labelled and visually separated from editorial results everywhere it appears.

How a clinic gets listed

  • An editor identifies the clinic and records the evidence against each field, from the clinic's own site and from official registers.
  • The medical editor verifies the facility licence and each accreditation against the issuing body, sets each fact's status and date, and applies the framework.
  • The publisher signs off, or the record is held.

A clinic that will not say who performs the procedure is not listed at all. That is an exclusion, not a low score, and no amount of other evidence changes it.

Corrections

Anyone can ask us to correct something, whether you are a clinic, a patient, or a reader who noticed something off. Corrections backed by evidence are free, and we publish what changed.

Challenge a score and How we score.
