About Izmir Ekol Hospital
Izmir Ekol Hospital (İzmir Ekol Hastanesi) is a private general hospital in the Çiğli district of İzmir. It now operates as Bazekol Çiğli Hastanesi, the main hospital of the Bazekol Health Group (formerly Ekol). The hospital was founded in 2007 by Opr. Dr. Mehmet Baz and Figen Baz and has added departments over the years, including women’s health and obstetrics, cardiovascular surgery and angiography.
The group today runs six facilities in İzmir: Bazekol Çiğli Hospital, Bazekol Sada Hospital, an eye centre, two medical centres and a dental centre. Group-wide it reports 134 physicians and specialists and around 2,500 healthcare staff.
At the Çiğli hospital, listed units include ENT, general and obesity surgery, aesthetic and plastic surgery, cardiovascular surgery, cardiology, ophthalmology, urology, neurosurgery, orthopaedics and traumatology, gynaecology and obstetrics, internal medicine, chest surgery and chest diseases, gastroenterology, paediatrics, neurology, hair transplantation, dermatology, dental care, physical therapy, psychiatry, oncology, audiology, interventional radiology, radiology, anaesthesia and emergency care.
